On Tuesday 7th September 2021 JTI played host to a delegation from the Judiciary of Malawi. This was part of the activities for the delegation which was on a one-week study tour of the Judiciary infrastructure, hosted by the Hon Chief Justice of Kenya. The Malawi delegation was led by Hon Justice Joseph Chigona, Judge of the High Court and Chairman of the Malawi Judiciary Development Program.
The delegation was hosted to lunch by the incoming Director JTI and Supreme Court Judge, Hon Justice Smokin Wanjala. The outgoing Director Hon Justice Kathurima M’Inoti was also present. A meeting was thereafter held at which the Senior Management at JTI engaged with the Malawi delegation on the establishment, mandate, processes, and operations at JTI.
