Kenya Judiciary Academy (KJA), in collaboration with UNODC, is currently conducting a stakeholder consultative workshop to develop a training curriculum on adjudicating Trafficking in Persons (TiP) and Smuggling of Migrants (SoM). This specialized 5-day workshop in Naivasha brings together participants from both government and civil society to create a comprehensive curriculum. The goal is to ensure the curriculum fully integrates the applicable national legislative framework, guarantees due process, promotes respect for international human rights standards, and strengthens the rule of law. Additionally, the curriculum aims to enhance understanding and proficiency in handling TiP and SoM cases and in supporting victims in accordance with international standards.
